Science

We believe that Science provides the foundations for understanding the world through the specific disciplines of biology, chemistry and physics. Science has changed our lives and is vital to the world’s future prosperity, and our children will be taught essential aspects of the knowledge, methods, processes and uses of science.  In delivering our Science curriculum, we will focus on embedding investigative and enquiry skills as well as building knowledge and creating awe and wonder of our world.

Our Science curriculum is based on the high-quality resources from Developing Experts. These are adapted to meet our children's needs to ensure that each lesson has essential scientific skills being taught. The Developing Experts resources, further offer a wide variety of clips which are made by people who work in STEM jobs. These provide the children with the opportunities  to learn about the possibilities and careers that may be linked with their scientific studies. We believe this will result in children having a greater understanding of what they can achieve and therefore raising their aspirations for the future.
