Geography
The Geography curriculum aims to spark pupils’ curiosity about the world around them, leave them asking and answering important questions, deliver cultural capital and embed knowledge through revision and revisiting of facts. The National Geography Curriculum states: ‘Teaching should equip pupils with knowledge about diverse places, people, resources and natural and human environments, together with a deep understanding of the Earth’s key physical and human processes.’ (DfE, 2013).
Each Year Group looks at a different part of the world, building geographical skills and knowledge of places. Children also learn about the possibilities and careers that may be linked with their geographical studies.

Here are some examples of our knowledge organisers. These documents are used by teachers to help them plan in detail the key knowledge children will learn about different aspects of geography in each Year Group.
