Home Learning Update

We know that you are working hard to support your children with their learning at home.  We will continue to put English and Maths lessons on the Class Pages for each day as well as wider curriculum activities.  We can also recommend the lessons and resources found on the links below.  The BBC resources can be accessed on your television.

While children are learning at home, we will be providing work for them to complete.  All children should now have their Reading and Maths books to work through.  Each week there will also be Maths, English and other home learning activities shared on the website.  One of the activities is called 'Votes 4 Schools'.  This is a resource that provides different questions each week that spark really interesting debates about current issues.  The Powerpoint presentation presents facts that the children use to help them form their own opinion. A guide for using 'Votes 4 Schools is attached below.  All of these activities can be found in the 'Class Pages' under 'Home Learning'.

On this page, there are links to other activities that we think will help keep children active in body and mind.  We very much appreciate your efforts to keep your children learning while they are at home.  We don't want this to become a pressure or a source of stress.  These are challenging times and, just as it is at school, the most important thing for children to know is that they are safe.  We suggest that having a routine may help you and your children manage the days at home.  You could work with them to design the routine and make sure it allows time for creative activities such as baking, painting and, if possible, going outside as well as some time for them to relax; some 'downtime'.  We want you to be able to enjoy your time together.

All of the teachers are anxious to keep in touch with the children and they will be sending regular messages via Marvellous Me.  Our blog is now up and running.  You will need to look out for your log in which will be sent via Marvellous Me.  Once you have your log in, go to the 'Class Blogs' page under the 'Children' tab or just click the link below.  You can log in and see messages from your teachers and send them messages too.

We look forward to the time when we can all be back together as our Delves family.  For now, please look after each other and stay safe.
