Dear Parents

Welcome to a new year at Delves Junior School, we hope that 2007 will be happy and successful.

Homework

We would like to take this opportunity to remind you of the homework we set in Year 4.

Numeracy: set on a weekly basis and sent home on a Friday, to be returned to school by the following Thursday at the latest.
Spelling: to be learnt and tested on a weekly basis, all spellings are listed on a sheet in the homework book.
Reading: children should read to an adult at least three times a week, with the reading record book being completed in the appropriate way and returned to school on a daily basis.
Geography and science: set at the beginning of the half term, and returned to school by Monday 5th February.

Indoor shoes

Please ensure that your child has a change of shoes to wear indoors in order to keep our carpets and cloakrooms clean.

Christmas presents

We would like to say a big thank you for all of the cards and gifts we received at Christmas.
