From today our photo gallery is only available to students and staff at the school, and needs a password. This will allow us to add a lot more photos than we can at the moment.

You can log in here with the same user name and password that you use at school. There is also a link in the menu on the right side of the page.

Red Nose Day

Dear Parents

Welcome to a new year at Delves Junior School, we hope that 2007 will be happy and successful.

Homework

We would like to take this opportunity to remind you of the homework we set in Year 4.

Numeracy: set on a weekly basis and sent home on a Friday, to be returned to school by the following Thursday at the latest.
Spelling: to be learnt and tested on a weekly basis, all spellings are listed on a sheet in the homework book.
Reading: children should read to an adult at least three times a week, with the reading record book being completed in the appropriate way and returned to school on a daily basis.
Geography and science: set at the beginning of the half term, and returned to school by Monday 5th February.

Indoor shoes

Please ensure that your child has a change of shoes to wear indoors in order to keep our carpets and cloakrooms clean.

Christmas presents

We would like to say a big thank you for all of the cards and gifts we received at Christmas.

Spring Yr3 Newsletter

Dear Parents,

Happy New Year! We hope that you all had a very enjoyable and relaxing Christmas and would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all your cards and presents. We sincerely hope that your children found their first term at Delves Junior School enjoyable and interesting.

Homework

As usual, homework will be given out on a weekly basis and will include maths and spelling and, once again, we stress the importance of hearing your child read regularly and signing the blue book.

Welcome back!

Both children and staff enjoyed the summer and break and as ever it was wonderful to see everyone last week at the beginning of the new school year.  We extend a special welcome to our new Year 3 children and their parents and also the new staff that have joined us.

Safe on the Street makes learning about road safety fun for 7-11 year olds, whilst teaching valuable messages. The interactive animated websie is full of educational information and activities with sections for teachers, pupils and parents. The site is part of BMW’s education programme
